Who We are – Our Story
Srishti of Charlotte, a non-profit organization (based 501(c)(3) and registered (Federal ID# 47-2245896) is a home away from home in the Queen City, Charlotte. The Srishti family captures the very essence of the rich Bengali culture from India and promotes appreciation of the chaste heritage of literature, music, art and dance, in the Carolinas. We strive to preserve our enriched culture by organizing traditional cultural events, educational events for parents and children. Our intent is to share and celebrate these quintessential Bengali occasions, the rich and vibrant heritage, among the Indian community in the USA. Thereby, fostering a cross-cultural interaction with like-minded organizations, and to participate in social welfare activities.
Our Mission
Srishti was established 15 years ago and what sets us apart is our continuous effort to endear and include a larger community in the Carolinas in our celebrations and happiness. We indulge in generous contributions and partake in many charitable causes like, Amphan Floods in India.
We believe that our cultural heritage is an important aspect of our identity, and that it should be celebrated and protected for future generations. By working together, we can help to ensure that our cultural heritage is preserved, promoted, and appreciated by all.
